It’s all part of the service we provide. With many years of experience and specialist knowledge, NMi staff can produce a wealth of practical solutions. We were even able to track down the source of very annoying noise while conducting a recalibration at a company’s premises.

Recalibration test benches

The installation had started making a lot of noise after two heavy test benches were moved. It also transpired during the recalibration process that the measurements were unstable. The tensile-compression testers used for conducting tests on various materials were clearly not properly adjusted to the new situation.

On inspection, the NMi calibration expert discovered that the noise was due to incorrect software settings. A few adjustments solved the problem. The measurements were stabilised, the calibration report could then be issued and the measuring equipment used once more.
