EMC immunity testing now up to 6 GHz

NMi has upgraded its existing EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) facilities in Dordrecht. From now on, we offer immunity testing up to 6 GHz. This has been done by investing in the RadiField Triple A field generator. In the NMi labs, measuring instruments such as electricity meters, gas meters, gas pumps and scales are tested for compliance with metrological legislation and international product standards. The immunity requirements in these product standards are increasingly being raised to 3 or 6 GHz. Hence the need to invest in the generation of EMC fields at higher frequencies. By extending our EMC testing facilities with the RadiField Tripe A field generator, we are ready for the future and able to test measuring instruments according to the latest requirements.

EMC pre-testing

Did you know that NMi now offers EMC pre-testing? Manufacturers often tend to struggle with EMC requirements, which in turn can give rise to nonconformities during the type examination process. This can be avoided by pretesting the product prior to the official test, as it will provide manufacturers with insight into the functioning of their product and the likelihood of whether it will pass the official tests or not. Consequently, designs can thus be modified much faster.
