Roughly speaking, EuroLoop’s liquid system consists of three circulation systems, one for each test liquid. All three systems comprise a large and a small circuit, each of which is equipped with master meters of various sizes. Furthermore, a circuit can be connected in line to one of the two piston provers, either for calibration of the master meters or for testing meters directly against the prover(s).
After the filling, de-aerating and pressurizing of the system, it is ready for use. Starting with the pump unit, the liquid typically flows through a cooling round, master meters, the meter being tested and back to the pumps. If one of the provers is connected in line, the order will be as follows:
- pumps
- cooling
- master meters
- piston prover
- meter being tested
- and the pumps again
