A volume conversion device corrects the results of a gas meter according to standard conditions for pressure, temperature and gas composition. If the instrument is used for commercial purposes in the Netherlands, it must satisfy the European Measuring Instruments Directive (MID, annex MI-002). In addition to the statutory regulations, many users of volume correction instruments stipulate additional requirements, such as the EN 12405 standard.

Type examination

NMi has all the facilities necessary to test your volume conversion device according to these regulations and standards and to certify it for different countries. We can also conduct extra tests according to additional requirements or specifications. You can also turn to us for tests and approval of peripheral equipment or parts (modules) of volume correction instruments, such as pressure readers, temperature readers, and gas chromatographs.
