Type examination

In most European countries a (drinking) water meter may only be placed on the market if it satisfies the EU verification regulations for water meters. In some countries outside Europe other requirements apply, such as the OIML Recommendation R49. NMi can test and certify against R49.

NMi can take care of the type examination of your cold or warm water meter from A to Z. Due to our many years of experience, we know exactly which requirements your water meter must satisfy in the various different countries.

When the test procedure is completed, you receive the complete test report, containing all the results of the investigation, from us. If your water meter also satisfies the requirements of annex MI-001 of the European Measuring Intstruments Directive 2004/22/EC, then you will also receive an EC-type examination certificatie.
