Level gauge meters are used in the (petrochemical) industry to determine the level of the liquid in a fixed storage tank. If this measurement is used for trade, the level gauge must comply with the legislation “measuring reservoirs, level gauge meters and discontinue fuel meters”. They can also be tested against OIML Recommendation R85.

NMi even owns a test facility for servo meters.
Result
If your level gauge meter or the module satisfies the statutory requirements you receive the Dutch approval documents and the complete OIML test report. For complete level gauge meters we can also issue an OIML Certificate of Conformity. This certificate will make it easier to get market access in many countries.
