The International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) is an intergovernmental treaty organization promoting the global harmonization of legal metrology procedures. NMi Certin is Issuing Authority (NL1) for the certification of a large number of measuring instruments and participates in the OIML Certification System to enable manufacturers to demonstrate that a given instrument type complies with the requirements of the relevant OIML International Recommendation.
In addition NMi Certin participates in the OIML Mutual Acceptance Arrangement (MAA) to provide manufacturers with greater international acceptance of OIML certificates for national type approval, using the "one-stop testing" concept. NMi Certin is Issuing Participant for Load Cells (R60) and nonautomatic weighing Instruments (R76).
