Many manufacturers and suppliers are organized in national and international organizations.

FHI
FHI, federation of technology branches, is the umbrella organisation for all companies in The Netherlands that are occupied with the provision and application of technology in industry and health care. Four branch organizations Industrial Automation, Laboratory Technology, Industrial Electronics and Medical Technology form FHI. About 25 other collaboration groups are active within FHI. The most extensive of these are the VLW (Society of Dutch suppliers of Weighing Instruments) and the Development Club (Society of independent product development companies) both of which have their own association structure. In total the branch can count upon around 800 members who provide work for 30,000 people. The combined turnover of these companies is approximately 11 billion guilders (5 billion Euro).

Holland Elektronica
Within the Dutch industrial branch federation for the metal-electro sector FME also Holland Elektronica gathers several Dutch manufacturers and suppliers of measuring instruments.

European associations
Many European manufacturers of Weighing Equipment are gathered in the Comité Européen des Constructeurs d'Instruments de Pesage CECIP.  Many manufacturers of flow meters and installations are associated in CECOD. The manufacturers of electricity meters are gathered in the Association of European Electricity Meter Manufacturers CITEF. European manufacturers of gas-meters are gathered in Facogaz.
