The New Legislative Framework at InterWEIGHING 2015

The European Union has developed an extended package of modernized rules and regulations, the “New Legislative Framework” (NLF), which applies to all products sold on the European market. It is a complete normative system that strengthens and completes the existing rules by trying to include all possible aspects of safety, quality and traceability of products that enter the EU market.

The implementation of the NLF, which will come into force in April 2016 for measuring instruments, has implications for your business. You will need to ensure that you are prepared for the forthcoming changes. NMi can help you to understand the implications and the steps you have to take to prepare yourself.

Mr. Paul van Enckevort, Director Marketing and Sales at NMi, has been invited to give a presentation about this inportant topic during InterWEIGHING 2015. This is the worlds largest trade show for the weighing industry, taking place from 20 to 22 April in Shanghai, China. He will also be present at our stand C516-C517 which is situated on the third floor, directly next to the escalators. Please drop by or make an appointment in advance by sending an email to nmi@nmi.nl.

Besides the NLF, you are more than welcome to receive information about:

  • The latest status of EN45501
  • CE Type Examination Certificates (AWI and NAWI)
  • Evaluation- and Part Certificates for modules of weighing instruments
  • OIML (MAA) Certificates of Conformity and Test Reports
  • Certification of quality assurance systems (module D)
  • Training
  • Guidance during your product creation process

NMi will offer all of her customers the possibility to get informed about the NLF in the coming period, by organizing seminars and training courses. Keep an eye on this website and our news letters to read the announcements.
