NMi Certin invests in new test equipment

As previously announced, NMi Certin decided to invest in extra test equipment for the evaluation of gas meters. A test bench based on sonic nozzles has been installed at NMi in Dordrecht on 13 March 2013. Gas meters with a flow rate of up to and including 40 m3/h can be automatically evaluated with this system at different rates and operating conditions.

It can handle normal diaphragm gas meters, but also smart gas meters based on measuring principles such as ultrasonic or thermic, with or without temperature and pressure correction. By controlling the temperature in the climatic chamber, the test bench can also perform measurements at different ambient temperatures.

Through this investment, extra test capacity is available to guarantee quick market access for meter manufacturers!
