The victory of Betfair in the long running court cases against the Dutch Government will give an important impulse to the legalization of i-Gaming and the breakdown of Dutch monopolies.

STIOG, the foundation that helps the political lobby on behalf of providers of interactive games via the internet, is working hard in order to get a "user friendly" regulation that should make the Netherlands one of the most important countries to get a license for.

More attractive product for the already existing market

Beside the traditional games and operators, there will be more room for the new generation of online developers. Moreover, we expect the existing regulation to become a bit friendlier too, which was also confirmed by the Dutch Government. If so, this will enable developers to make a more attractive product for the already existing market without losing focus on the most important thing, being player protection and responsible gaming.
