NMi participated at the OGA 2011 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during the first week of June 2011. People from over 50 countries found their way towards Kuala Lumpur. The growing number of visitors (around 20,000) and exhibitors (around 1,500) is clearly a sign of growing business and interest in the oil & gas industry.

Asian market’s need for accurate measurement

There was considerable interest in the development of EuroLoop. In addition to marketing our EuroLoop facility, it also gave us the opportunity to explain in more detail our strategies for increased support to the Asian market’s need for accurate measurement and independent quality control for their measuring installations. Where prices of energy are rising again and need for different energy sources are growing by the day, the 35 years of knowledge and experience of NMi on how to measure and calibrate accurately are requested almost daily.

NMi was part of the IRO stand where a Dutch group of oil and gas companies showcased the Dutch experience and expertise in the international oil and gas business. NMi was attending as the expert on accurate measurement, certification and calibration. During this major exhibition, NMi had the perfect opportunity to catch up with customers and meet representatives from new companies to discuss the current technology and new developments.

According to Paul van Enckevort (Director Marketing & Sales): “We can conclude that the potential growth in the market for services like calibration, certification, independent validation of measuring installation and individual meters is enormous and the name and position of NMi and EuroLoop is highly appreciated and accepted on a global scale.”
