NMi extends certification activities to Germany

NMi is in the middle of the process to carry out testing and certification activities for Germany. Since some time, the German market has opened for other notified bodies. For this purpose an audit by German experts has been conducted within NMi, with a positive outcome.

ISO 17025
In the meantime our ISO 17025 accreditation is extended with the German legislation. Initially, a pilot project with kWh meters for reactive energy is started. The official recognition and designation of NMi by the German government will arrive very soon. This means that from that moment NMi can certify electricity meters for the MID (active energy) and at the same time for Germany (reactive energy). In the near future NMi will proceed and take further steps to also test and certify also other measuring instruments for the German market.
