NMi nominated as OSGP Test House

NMi nominated as OSGP Test House; Open Smart Grid Protocol.

The OSGP Alliance is the global non-profit association dedicated to promoting the adoption of the Open Smart Grid Protocol (OSGP) and infrastructure for smart grid applications towards a future proof modern smart grid.

Key stakeholders

The OSGP members come from key stakeholders in the industry, including utilities, hardware manufacturers, service providers and system integrators. All sharing a common goal and vision: promoting open standards for energy demand side management, smart grid and smart metering systems. The OSGP concept is integrated in devices, not only for communications, but also for data generation. For market access in Europe, manufacturers must have their appliances tested and certified for conformity with OSGP.

NMi OSGP Test House

Recently NMi is appointed as official OSGP test house. That means that manufacturers can have their devices tested at NMi for compliance with OSGP, while using a dedicated test set up and scripts. The test report issued by NMi is the basis for the manufacturer of the device to obtain a “Statement of Conformance” from the OSGP Alliance.
