System certification means the certification of a quality management system.

The certification method is laid down in the Certification Regulations of NMi Certification to ensure an objective and independent certification decision. An audit of a management system will be performed by an IRCA certified lead assessor. Depending on the scope of the audit, the audit team will include technical experts, who have proven knowledge and experience as a type examination expert.

There are 3 certification schemes

CE Metrology

In this scheme shall be assessed against European CE directives: 2009/23/EC (NAWI) and 2004/22/EC (MID). The manufacturer will receive a certificate with the scope of the instruments after approval of the quality system.

NL Metrology

In this scheme shall be assessed against Dutch regulations. This is applicable on the instruments as mentioned in the Metrologiewet (Metrology Legislation) or APK wet (MOT legislation). The Erkende Keurder or Onderzoeksgerechtigde (Qualified Person) receives a certificate with the scope of the measurement instruments.

ISO 9001

In this scheme shall be assessed against the standard ISO 9001. This is a general standard voor management systems.
