The measurement uncertainty of your measuring instrument is an important specification for your customers. NMi calculates that uncertainty in the design phase to determine whether the design meets the (customer’s) specifications. This prevents expensive and time-consuming modifications during the certification process.

It also avoids any customer questions regarding the accuracy of the specifications. In that case NMi, as an independent third party, is brought in to give a clear answer.

Measurement uncertainty in context

Besides calculating the measurement uncertainty of the weighing instrument itself, it is also possible to include context-dependent effects in the estimate. For example, do you want to use the weighing instrument in an environment where there are many temperature fluctuations? If so, we factor them into the calculations. This provides important information relating to the further development of your product at an early stage.
