Although the new revisions of the IEC 62052 / 62053 standards for electricity meters are just  published at the end of June 2020, at NMi the first meters are already tested in accordance with these standards. During recent months we have invested in new equipment and test methods, to be fully prepared for the new edition 2. Based on requests from several meter manufacturers we have tested their meters already in accordance with the preliminary versions of the standards. During those initial projects already experience with the new upcoming documents has been gained. Today at NMi we are fully ready. If wished, meter manufacturers can already have their products being examined in accordance with the new upcoming IEC standards!
