Testing and certification

Worldwide market access

An NMi certificate or test report is accepted as a basis for approval without further testing by many foreign governments.

Knowledge and experience with respect to applicable requirements and the interpretation of standards

For many years NMi has been actively involved in the certification of filling systems and is an authority on applicable requirements and standards.

Short turnaround times

Clever test plans guarantee the shortest turnaround times for rapid market access of your product.

A verification is an obligatory test of a measuring instrument which checks whether it meets the statutory requirements. The initial verification is conducted as soon as the measuring instrument is launched on the market and put into use. There may also be periodic re-verifications later if required by law or if the seals have been broken, for example after repairs.

NMi has many years’ experience as an independent verification institute. It is therefore exceedingly well informed about nationally and internationally accepted requirements for different measuring instruments

Verification on location

Some verifications can be carried out on-site, so that your measuring instrument can be used immediately. Our team has fully equipped measuring vehicles for the annual re-verification of taximeters. These are conducted at various sites all over the Netherlands, so you can always have your taxi verified locally. Verification can be performed during the last two months before your certificate expires. The new verification certificate is then valid for a year after the expiry date of the old certificate.

Acceptance testing

NMi can also conduct your acceptance testing (factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing) for your end user. This can be done anywhere in the world, at any manufacturing site. An independent acceptance test often boosts the end user’s acceptance and confidence in the quality of the product.

Random checks at statutory vehicle test testing stations

NMi carries out random checks at garages for the government in order to guarantee the quality of tests at statutory vehicle testing stations.
