Mix-and-Match liquid measurement in the Netherlands

A 10 year transition period was specified when the European Union Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) came into force in 2006. This has resulted in complex mixtures of MID and pre-MID components, particularly in fuel dispensers and self-service equipment. MID Mix-and-Match provides solutions for this situation.

Are you an Accredited Verifier, Module D manufacturer, supplier, supervisor and/or Module D auditor and do you want clarity about when you can apply mix-and-match, under which terms and conditions and where you can find the applicable legends and marks? If so, this one-day course will give you all the information you need.

As the end of the transition period (2016) approaches, new questions are arising. Take the replacement of parts, for example. What does this mean for your mix-and-match equipment? After the training, you will know what you can and can’t do.

The following subjects are discussed during the course:

  • Statutory basis provided by the Dutch 1989 Weights and Measures Act (IJkwet), 1998 Weights and Measures Act and Metrology Act / MID
  • Terminology: explanation of concepts
  • 2016 transition period
  • Placing on the market or putting into use
  • Mix-and-match, what is or is not permitted, on the basis of regulations for using and installing EU measuring instruments
  • Mix-and-match after 2016
  • Examples
  • Open discussion, opportunity for participants to bring up their own practical situations
