Reactive energy meters in Germany

As of 22 June 2016, NMi is officially designated as Notified Body for reactive energy meters in Germany. The German metrology law states that foreign Notified Bodies can be accredited to perform tests and certifications for those measuring instruments falling under German national legislation. NMi has become a candidate in 2014. After extensive screening by the German authorities, our ISO 17025 accreditation has been extended with the German legislation. We were happy to report this fact earlier this year, and now it’s official.

Conformity assessments
We are accredited to perform conformity assessments (module B, D or F) according to the national German MessEG legislation. Do you have energy meters covering both active and reactive energy? And do you wish to sell these meters in Germany? Then NMi can test your meters according to the Measuring Instrument Directive for active energy, while the measurement of reactive energy will be examined against the German national legislation.

NMi has been given the NoBo mark DE-0122. We are the first foreign Notified Body that has been accepted in Germany. A remarkable accomplishment!
